Chutes and Ladders Nigeria furniture manufacturing firm with headquarters in Lagos, has donated N1m to HFP Eastline Shopping Complex, a business community along the Lekki-Epe Expressway.

According to the firm, the move is to address rising cases of burglaries and thefts in the area and other nearby communities.
The MD / Chief Executive Officer of the company, Oluwabunmi Benson Ajila, announced the donation on Wednesday during a press conference to mark the company’s 12th anniversary in Lagos.

Benson Ajila said the contribution would support the community’s efforts to purchase security equipment and other technology tools to guarantee a more secure workplace in the areas.

He said, “We are here to highlight our commitment to giving back to the community that has supported us throughout our journey. In recognition of the support we have received from the HFP Eastline Shopping Complex and the surrounding community, we are proud to announce a significant corporate social responsibility initiative.

“We will be presenting a cheque of N1,000,000 to the HFP Eastline Shopping Complex Operators Association. This donation is aimed at enhancing security infrastructure within the complex, ensuring a safer environment for businesses and visitors alike.
“Our success is deeply intertwined with the support of our community, and this donation is a token of our appreciation and our commitment to building a stronger, safer community.”

The head of the community’s security committee, Hendrick Agu, lauded the firm for the gesture, saying, “This is a great support and it is welcome. It is now in use to get the required tools.
“The current economic situation right now has created more security challenges. We have equipped the security men with more walkie-talkies, security vests, massive touch lights, and bicycles to patrol around, as well as CCTVs for the surveillance of the shopping complex.”
