The Initial Language Legacy and Culture (ILLEC) has conferred an Award of Appreciation on NupekoTV Lafiagi. This award recognizes its outstanding contributions to the promotion of Nupe Language.
This prestigious award is a testament to NupekoTV’s dedication. They are committed to preserving and promoting the Nupe Language. The language is an integral part of the cultural heritage of the Nupe people.
The award ceremony will be attended by several dignitaries, including the Etsu Nupe, Alh. (Dr) Yahaya Abubakar CFR, who was recognized for his unwavering support for the promotion of the Nupe Language.
Some notable individuals were honored for their contributions to the promotion of the Nupe Language. These include Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago, Turakin Nupe; Dr. Aishatu Gogo Ndayako, who serves as the Permanent Secretary Ecological. Pharm Yahaya Mayaki holds the title of Mayaki Nupe. Dr Abubakar Abdullahi Kuso is referred to as Dan Wadata Nupe, among others.
Adamu Idris Manarakis is the founder and director of ILLEC. He expressed his gratitude to all the awardees for their tireless efforts in promoting the Nupe Language. He also commended NupekoTV Lafiagi for its commitment to preserving and promoting the Nupe Language.
