The Initial Language Legacy and Culture (ILLEC) awarded an Appreciation Award to NupekoTV Lafiagi. This was in recognition of its outstanding contributions to promoting the Nupe Language.
This prestigious award is a testament to NupekoTV’s dedication. They work to preserve and promote the Nupe Language. It is an integral part of the cultural heritage of the Nupe people.
The award ceremony will be attended by several dignitaries, including the Etsu Nupe, Alh. (Dr) Yahaya Abubakar CFR, who was recognized for his unwavering support for the promotion of the Nupe Language.
Notable individuals were honoured for their contributions to the promotion of the Nupe Language. These include Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago, Turakin Nupe. Others are Dr. (Mrs) Aishatu Gogo Ndayako, Permanent Secretary Ecological; Pharm Yahaya Mayaki, Mayaki Nupe; and Dr Abubakar Abdullahi Kuso, Dan Wadata Nupe, among others.
Adamu Idris Manarakis is the founder and director of ILLEC. He expressed his gratitude to all the awardees. Their tireless efforts in promoting the Nupe Language were recognized. He also commended NupekoTV Lafiagi for its commitment to preserving and promoting the Nupe Language.
