YouTube announced on Tuesday it is suspending President Trump’s channel for at least a week. Nigerians are reacting to the statement issued by the National Identity Management Commission NIMC that the National Identification Numbers NIN generated via Bank Verification Numbers BVN for customers will be regarded invalid if they do not physically go to any of the NIMC offices to complete their registration. Some Nigerians used the code *346# to generate their NIN. A message that went viral in December indicated that persons who did their BVN registration in 2014 automatically had their NIN generated. The Nigeria Center for Disease Control says 1270 fresh cases were recorded in Nigeria on Tuesday, January 12. According to the statistics released by the health agency, Lagos recorded 435 cases while the FCT recorded 234 cases. Other states with fresh cases include Oyo-103, Plateau-86, Rivers-71, Enugu-51, Nasarawa-41, Delta-39, Edo-39, Osun-33, Niger-31, Sokoto-23, Ondo-16, Taraba-13, Ebonyi-12, Kano-10, Abia-9, Bayelsa-8, Bauchi-7, Imo-5, Katsina-3 and Gombe-1. Nigeria now has 102, 601 confirmed cases of the disease. 81, 574 patients have been successfully treated and discharged while 1373 deaths have been recorded.
