The management of Afrobeats megastar, Davido full name David Adeleke has put out a memo addressing the public on the status of his previously forthcoming A.W.A.Y festival to make it known that it’s now been postponed.

According to the statement, Davido’s Are We African Yet– A.W.A.Y Festival which was set to happen on the 18th of November has been moved to 2023 while already sold tickets will remain valid.

The memo stated, “We have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone the A.W.A.Y festival until Saturday, November 18, 2023. Davido must spend time with his family and loved ones at this time.”

The A.W.A.Y Festival was previously slated to happen at the 21,000-capacity State Farm Arena in Atlanta. This development comes after the tragic loss of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, in a pool accident.
