Top politicians, Business Mogul and other prominent personalities graced the wedding ceremony of Abdulkadir Attahiru Manko and Rukayyat Temitope Afolayan in Ilorin, Kwara State Capital.
The Patriarch of the respected Nupe family from Patigi local government, Alhaji Attahiru Abdulkadir Manko led his sons and daughter including the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Senatorial Candidate in Kwara North during 2023 general elections, Alhaji Adamu Attahiru Manko to Nikkah held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Asarudeen Central Mosque, Ilorin.
At the Nikkah, Islamic Clerics admonished the new couple to uphold tenets of Islam and put their children on the right path.
They also prayed that Almighty Allah would bless their home and open bigger doors of greatness for Abdulkadir as well as his wife, Rukayyat as they begin new journey.
The new couple later hosted their guests to dinner at Atlantic Event Palace off Ajase-ipo road, Ilorin.
The wedding reception chaired by former Chairman National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Hon Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa had in attendance former Chairman Governing Council of Federal University of Medical Sciences, Ila-Orangun, Prof Wale Sulaiman, Hon Saheed Popoola, Hon Gani Ganiz, Hon Musbaq Esinrogunjo, representative of Edu Constituency in 9th Kwara State House of Assembly, Mohammed Ndamusa Guyegi and SDP Senatorial Candidate in Kwara Central, Dr Apaokagi.
Other dignitaries at dinner include Wakili Lafiagi, Kwara SDP Chairman, Afolabi Abdulazeez, Senior Special Assistant Public Relations to Kwara Governor, Hon Jerry Kolo, Business Associates of Alhaji Adamu Attahiru Manko and his brothers from Abuja, Lagos, Kano among others.
